The evolution of IT terminologies
There has been a clamor recently to widen the term of IT to include the electronic communications field.
This is so that the term evolves around Information and Communications Technology (ICT). In the Australian region, the term used to mean IT or ICT is Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT & T).
No matter what terms are used, IT or ICT has become more well-known than ever. It covers several aspects to include computing, communications technology, and more popularly the internet.
